Description: Medical Center seeking Locum Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide locums coverage for their Neuroscience ICU service. --Dates Coverage Is Needed: - 7am-7pm 12/26-1/1 - 7pm-7am starting January 2027 --Inpatient responsibilities only --Candidates will need to come in the day before for orientation. --Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience. --Neuroscience program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The hospital has excellent staff in nursing, radiology, general neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and intervention, neuro-spine surgery, and neurology. The Neuroscience team takes great pride in their patient- and family-centered approach to care, which promotes optimization of patient outcomes. --Required: Acute Care Certified --Provider must have the ability to perform ICU level care --Locums’ provider will respond to codes --No ER backup --No Call --Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS from AHA --Integrated EMR: EPIC --Avg total inpatient Census: 20 --Avg # of patients/day/provider: 4 --Avg # of admissions/day: 2 --# of beds: 20 --List of Procedures: - Arterial Lines - Central Lines - Lumbar Punctures - Vent Management --Established clinical neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 + neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 Neurointensivist, and 13 subspecialty neurologists. --Large dedicated NSICU team inclusive of 4 physicians and 11 advanced practice providers who providing 24/7 coverage
