Description: 45 minutes from Indianapolis Seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team This is an opportunity to practice general orthopedic procedures as well as to develop niche practices in some of the following areas: total joint replacement, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, hand surgery, and foot and ankle surgery. --Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. --Inpatient rounding on own surgical patients --Common Diagnoses and Procedures: Joint Replacement Surgery, Ligament Reconstruction and Repair, Joint Pain, Joint Injections --Call and office space shared equally with one established board-certified orthopedic surgeon --Office is fully staffed, X-ray, Casting and Procedure Rooms --Well-trained operating room staff --Reliable instrumentation and equipment --DaVinci Robotics available --24 hour hospitalist coverage --An Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program is implemented for the Total Joint service line --Acute Pain Service/Regional Nerve Blocks available for orthopedic procedures --Competitive compensation, including income guarantee, with bonus incentives --Generous recruitment bonus program including relocation allowance; commencement and retention packages --Paid malpractice --27 days of Allowed Time Off plus five additional paid days for CME with annual stipend --Full benefits package, including health, life, dental, vision and legal insurance --Retirement options, including 403(b), 457(b), 401(a) --Short- and Long-Term Own Occupation Disability --Customized marketing support --Leadership development through board and committee opportunities

Live in or near a major metropolitan area but practice in physician friendly Indiana. We are the dominant supplier of health care in our area with 110,000 active patient files. This opportunity provides a built-in referral base. We have 3 patient care facilities in Northwest Indiana. We have an affiliated 9-bed surgical hospital attached to the Specialty Center where Endocrinology is located. We also have Radiology (including open MRI), lab (Pathologist available Monday-Friday), a full service EKG department, a full service pulmonary lab, an outpatient Physical Therapy Department and a dietitian.
