Description: Medical Group is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist and physician leader to serve as the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program Director --The Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program is directly accountable to the Designated Institutional Officer (DIO) and the Chair at the training site where they are primarily based/employed --The Program Director will be provided with the required protected, non-clinical time dedicated to administration of the program Responsibilities: --75% Clinical / 25% Academic --Maintain ongoing certification and compliance with ACGME requirements --Be a role model of professionalism --Ensure the program's compliance with institutional policies and procedures and ACGME requirements --Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education, develop and review program curricula, and monitor fellow supervision at all participating sites. --Work with other departments and other clinical sites to develop and maintain appropriate clinical and educational rotations for the fellows and residents --Regularly assess and promote fellow well-being while fostering an environment in which diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of fellows' clinical and academic experiences --Develop opportunities for bidirectional communication with fellows and faculty --Oversee and facilitate faculty and fellow evaluations and performance management with feedback --Fellow Recruitment and Selection --GME Research / Scholarly Activity --Program Evaluation --Benefits: Competitive salary, benefits & a matched 403B retirement package inclusive of an employer funded pension plan, Sign-on bonus and relocation, CME benefits --Requirements: Active AZ license or ability to obtain, Specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency or gastroenterology fellowship, Ongoing clinical activity and ongoing academic achievements in gastroenterology, including publications, the development of educational programs, or the conduct of research, Ability to travel as needed between clinical training sites
