Description: Southern West Virginia Medical Center is seeking Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide coverage - Start Date: June 1st, 2026 - Contract Length: 6 months - Shift Details: Clinic M-F 8:00 – 4:30 - Schedule: 24/7 call 4 – 5 consults per day. 1-2 after hour calls per day. - Support staff: MA’s and 1 RN. - Amount of coverage needed per month: Potential need for extended full time coverage or 2-3 weeks per month. - Patients per day: Full clinic days 20-25. ½ clinic days and ½ testing supervision = 4 – 6 tests in the morning and 12 -15 pts in the afternoon. - Includes patient rounding and consultations - Minimal nighttime phone calls, with rare instances requiring in-hospital visits - Emergency cases will either be admitted if deemed appropriate or stabilized for transfer - Patient population/age: Majority would be 50+ - Department description: General Cardiology department - EMR: Cerner - Special procedures/skill required: Certified to perform and read nuclear medicine stress tests, exercise stress tests, EKGs, Echoes, TEE, Holter monitor placements - Evaluation and management of new and established patients - Practice Setting: Hospital - Required: WV license or IMLC, ACLS, BLS, DEA, TEE
