Description: Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physisican Assistant to join our collaborative surgical services team. - Full-time, hospital-employed position with a balanced schedule and supportive administration. - Partner with experienced surgeons and a multidisciplinary care team across a wide range of surgical specialties. - Provide pre- and post-operative patient evaluations, inpatient rounding, first-assist in the operating room (where credentialed), and support ongoing patient education. - Join a collegial group of surgeons, APPs, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff committed to patient-centered, high-quality care. - Enjoy access to advanced surgical technology and the fully integrated EPIC EMR system. Requirements: - Current Maine NP or PA license or ability to obtain. - Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with surgical or acute care training/experience. - Prior OR first-assist certification/experience preferred but not required to begin work. Will need to secure certification within first year.
