Description: Facility is seeking Critical Care physician with training in both critical care and pulmonology to join our inpatient team.
- The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in an intensive care unit. The candidate will provide inpatient pulmonary consultation and support when on service with bronchoscopy procedures including EBUS and Super Dimension navigational bronchoscopy if desired.
- Dual physician coverage during day shifts and nurse practitioners covering most night shifts.
- Full time is approximately 168 shifts per year – working a mix of 10- and 12- hour days
- Robust department resources include dedicated pharmacist, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy, dietary, chaplaincy, care coordination, clinical nurse leadership and more.
- Consulting physicians include CT surgery, interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, neurology, inpatient gastroenterology, infectious disease, general surgery, interventional radiology, nephrology and palliative care.
- The department currently employs 5 critical care physicians and 2 critical care nurse practitioners in addition to outpatient pulmonologists.
- The candidate will be responsible for teaching medical residents and medical students.
