Description: Seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist
--Hospital-employed
--Schedule: 3 weeks outpatient: 8-4:30 or 8:30 to 5. They will have 36 patient facing hours in the office the weeks they are not in the hospital. So usually 4 regular days, one ½ day
--Reading ECHOs, stress tests, EKGs, TEEs and Cardiac CT interpretation during clinic week.
--Reading stations located in office.
-- No delays getting interventional patients to Cath lab
--1 week inpatient. Typically inhouse from 8am to 4-5pm
--Handoff and Cardiologist led meeting to discuss current patient panel
--Cardiologist do not preform H&Ps or discharges – Hospitalist service handles admissions
--No direct ED consults
--1 weekend / month covering hospital ~ 20 ppd within 5-6 hours
--Physician will see an average of 21 pt per day in conjunction with APP / Fellow. They total is 21 for all
--Call Schedule 1:4 - APPs take first call.
--During inpatient week, provider is on night call for the full week
--Office connected to hospital via a 2 story enclosed bridge.
--Common treated conditions: CAD, Congestive heart failure, atrial fib, valve disorders
--No cardiac MRI yet
--Initially: 1 patient/hour, all new visits, After initial ramp-up: 2 patients/hour.
--Estimated: 15–16 patients/day for first 4–5 months until subsequent patients.
--20-22 patients per day once fully ramped up
--Clinic EHR: Athena, Hospital EHR: Cerner
--4 general Cardiologists, 1 FT structural heart interventionalist, 1 PRN Interventionalist, 1 EP, 3 NPs, 1 APP and fellows.
--2-3 APPs are always in clinics, APPs maintain own patient panel but assist with post-hospital follow-up.
--1 Medical assistant per cardiologist
--Providers have personal offices + shared clinic pods (3 rooms each).
--6 MAs total, 1 check-in/front desk, 1 dedicated check-out, 2 schedulers (Cath, ablation, complex scheduling), 1 prior auth specialist, 3–4 scheduling team for call-ins and referrals
--Base salary: $600K base plus wRVU incentive– 2-year guarantee
--In our network we have docs that earn between $750K to over $1M. Depends on their volume
--wRVU incentives: Greater of base or x per wRVU scenario.
