Description: Hospital is seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine physician for a Residency Program Director position - Full-time, hospital-employed leadership position to build and implement a new Internal Medicine Residency Program - Residency program targeted to begin in 2027 with 18 total residents (six residents per class year) - Hospital currently sponsors established Transitional Year and Emergency Medicine residency programs - Responsible for defining the program’s mission, vision, and curriculum, and leading submission of the initial accreditation application to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education - Oversee recruitment, appointment, evaluation, and retention of core faculty and program leadership in compliance with ACGME standards - Participate in and support educational programming, including delivering lectures, facilitating journal clubs, moderating M&M conferences, and engaging in orientation, simulation, and research activities - Direct and participate in the resident interview and selection process - Establish rotation goals and ensure residents clearly understand their educational objectives and schedules - Ensure residents receive comprehensive clinical training that meets ACGME Internal Medicine requirements - Foster an environment of active teaching, mentorship, and professional development - Provide consistent formative and summative feedback throughout each rotation, including completion and review of formal evaluations - Coordinate and synthesize feedback from multiple supervising faculty when residents are evaluated in team-based settings - Must have documented administrative and/or academic leadership experience to ensure effective implementation of the ACGME requirements - Eligible for Mississippi medical licensure required
