Description: Cancer Center seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide coverage for Symptom Management Clinic --Provide acute care to patients who experience side effects from chemotherapy. --Providers with Hematology Oncology experience are preferred. --Coverage needed: - May 28th for 6 weeks - Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm --100% Outpatient Clinical Care --12-bed symptom management clinic --Clinical responsibilities will include providing care for hematology oncology patients exhibiting symptoms related to acute side effects of chemotherapy such as nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and fever --No call --Anticipated Volume: 12-14 patients per day --No critical care responsibilities --Locums will not respond to codes but will need to respond to patients who experience medication reactions in nearby infusion suite --Required: NC license, DEA, BLS --New providers will need to come in the day before their first scheduled shift for orientation
