Description: Facility is seeking Hospitalist Medical Director to provide leadership for the inpatient hospitalist program, combining clinical practice with administrative responsibilities. - Clinical commitment: 7AM -7PM/mid-shift 3PM – 3AM - Census 20-25 patients per day - Closed ICU, No procedures, (step down unit) - Oversee the hospitalist service: staffing models, coverage, scheduling, service-line metrics (census, productivity, quality, length of stay, readmission), budget oversight, and operational efficiency. - Develop, implement and monitor clinical protocols, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives in the inpatient setting. - Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and hospital policy standards (e.g., The Joint Commission). - Participate in meetings, committees, and service-line strategic planning; report metrics and improvement opportunities. - Promote physician engagement, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement. - Maintain an active inpatient practice as a hospitalist - EMR Epic - Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and leadership role. - Leadership/Administrative stipend or bonus tied to performance metrics. - Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, malpractice coverage, CME allowance, retirement plan. - Relocation assistance - Opportunity to live and work in a region with strong community, affordable living, four-season recreation. - Salary Compensation 300K-320K - Must hold (or be eligible for) a New York State medical license - Significant inpatient hospitalist experience: prior leadership/administrative experience preferred - Experience in mentoring/coaching physicians preferred. - Board certified in Internal Medicine
