Description: Northern New York State Clinic is seeking Locum BC/BE Radiation Oncologist to provide coverage --Current dates (coverage for MD on vacation) - August 10 week - 3 day stretch - Sept 28 week - 3 day stretch - November - 10th, 11th, 12th --Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday is preferred but will consider other options. --Days: 8a-4p, 9a-5:30p --Call not required --Staff on unit: Provider: 1 NP: 1 LPN: 1 --Evaluate patients' medical history and conduc diagnostic tests to identify the best treatment strategy. --Create personalized radiation therapy plans based on the type, stage, and location of cancer. --Administering radiation therapy: Executing treatments such as stereotactic radiosurgery and other advanced methods. --Track the effectiveness of the treatment and making necessary adjustments and provide care and manage potential side effects of radiation therapy. --Work with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cancer care and engage in research related to radiation oncology to improve patient outcomes. --Acuity level of patients: Adults acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems --Patient Ratios: 1:10-15 --Automated Medication dispensing system: Pixys --Charting: EPIC --Required: AHA BLS, ACLS NY State License --Min of 2 years’ recent experience
