Description: Hospital seeking a Locum BC General Surgeon --24hr call coverage needed: - July 17 (7am) – July 21 (7am) - September 25 (7am) – September 28 (7am) --Both Inpatient & Outpatient --Call: Nights, Weekends --Established Practice with Existing Surgeon --# of Surgical Cases per month: 65 Cases --LT will not respond to codes --ICU /Critical Care Procedures Required --Support staff 2 MDs, 1 Nurse --ED has 9 total beds --Colonoscopy not required for weekend coverage. --Facilities details: 3 OR, 9 bed ED, 4 bed fast track, 49 bed hospital inpatient --Procedures: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Bowel Obstructions, I & D, EGD, Amputation, Colonoscopy, Strangulated Hernia --New providers would need to orient day before first shift and or morning of first shift.
