Description: Southern Pennsylvania facility seeking Locum Hematology Oncology Physician for ongoing coverage at two hospitals --Open Dates available: November through March 2027 --Clinic Days/Hours: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30 pm --Full time coverage needed. Minimum facility will accept is 3 days/week. --Support hospitals with inpatient & ER consultation/patient care guidance related to Hem/Onc. Otherwise, typically no daily rounding on patients. --Call rotation schedule: 1 week/month --Frequency: 0-2 calls/day (regular ED or hospital consults typically) --Workflow: - Clinic 8-430. May take secure chats from hospital during clinic hours. Inpatient consult before/after clinic. - Clinic Hours: - 20 minutes for Pre-Treat (pt's being seen before treatment) and for established follow ups. - 40 minutes for New Hem consults and Hospital follow ups (if needed) - 60 minutes for Hew Oncology consults - Providers also cover as a supervising provider for a morning and an afternoon each week. This role covers urgent patient needs for providers not in the office that day --Time spent rounding: 1-2 hrs --Patients/day: average 15 --New vs follow up ratio: Average 2 new patients/day. The rest are treatment patients and follow up patients. --Oncology vs hematology breakdown: 2/3 onc, 1/3 hematology --Types of cases typically seen: typical lung, breast, protate, colorectal , and some outliers (community center), some blood cancers sent out. DO not provide inpatient chemo. Targeted therapies onboarded at tertiary center typically. --Infusions handled in clinic: Our clinic is part of our provider practice. We treat our hem/onc patients. We primarily administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy therapy, IVIG, IV iron, and non chemotherapy injections. --Support: 1 NP, 1 virtual hematologist. Provider will not be sole provider on site. --Dictation system: Nuance --Required: Double Boarded, PA license or IMLC, fellowship training
