Description: Columbus area facility seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist to start May 2026 --Coverage needed: - May 3 (4 PM) – May 11 (7 AM) - May 11 (7 AM) – May 18 (7 AM) - May 24 (4 PM) – June 1 (7 AM) - June 15 (7 AM) – June 22 (7 AM) - June 22 (7 AM) – June 29 (7 AM) - July 13 (7 AM) – July 20 (7 AM) - July 26 (4 PM) – Aug 3 (7 AM) - Sept 7 (7 AM) – Sept 14 (7 AM) - Sept 14 (7 AM) – Sept 21 (7 AM) - Dec 21 (7 AM) – Dec 28 (7 AM) --7a-3p + night beeper call M-F + 24 hour beeper call on weekends --Schedule: need full-time coverage. Will look at physicians that can work a minimum of 7 consecutive days per month --Patient Population: adult --GI coverage for Level 1 hospital --EMR: EPIC --Special Procedures: - ERCP required (150 in the past 2 years) - Esophageal or Duodenal or Luminal Stent Placement (20 in the past 2 years) - Performance of history and physical exam - Argon plasma coagulation - Biopsy of the mucosa of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon - Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy (must provide documentation of performance of 100 within the past 2 years at initial appointment and 150 at reappointment) - Diagnostic and therapeutic esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) - Enteral alimentation - Esophageal dilation with balloon or bougie or savary with guidewire - Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, including foreign body removal or polypectomy - Flexible sigmoidoscopy - Gastrointestinal motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring - Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower) - Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy --Required: BC/BE Gastroenterology, OH license or IMLC, DEA, Moderate Sedation Examination, ACLS, 1 year minimum experience --EUS and ERCP are required
