Description: Seeking Locum BC Hospitalist Physician --Coverage Needed: - Nights 7p-7a - December 25 - December 26 - December 27 - December 28 - December 29 --New providers will need to come in the day before the scheduled start date for orientation. --Opportunity to work within a well-established healthcare system --Inpatient only --Call schedule: Day shift physicians rotate admission among themselves in morning and afternoon blocks. Any night call and/or admissions are covered by the physician working from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. --EHR: Epic --ACLS certification required (AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION) --The team includes 11 physicians. --Avg # of patients/day/provider: 15 --Avg # of admissions/day: 2-3/provider --Avg # of admissions/night: 4-6 --Responsible for ICU/Critical Care duties --We have a critical care physician that assists with ICU patients during morning hours and Tele ICU Service in the afternoon and weekends to assist with care of critically ill patients --Keeps stroke and brain bleeds after consulting with Neurology and a Neurosurgeon (Tele Neurology service to assist with Neurology cases) --Traditional and interdisciplinary rounding, consults, admissions, management of vent patients in ICU is preferred; procedures are optional. Cardiology, orthopedics, nephrology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease and psychiatry specialists are available locally. --Must be Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
