Description: Hospital seeking Locum Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to start 10/19/2026 --Schedule Details: 2-3 shifts per week --12hr shifts (6:30pm-7:00am) Monday- Sunday --No call --EMR: Epic --Avg. Daily Census: 15-25 --Patient Age Group: adults/geriatric --Procedures: Thoracic Surgery – Chest tube/blake drain/pigtail management experience/ ABG, NGT, G and J feeding tubes would be helpful. --25 patients is usually max. --The PA locum is solo. --There is a fellow that works the nights that can help when a night is busy to offload some of those patients. The Fellow is there as a resource as he is covering the ER and doing rounds and consults. --The PA locum will mostly be seeing patients on the floor coming from the Step down OR (post op) or ICU. --There is a code team at hospital just in case. --Locum may be first responder until fellow can get there. --Lastly, a patient could be transferred from another hospital where the Locum would do an H&P (history and physical) and patient would be seen in the morning. --The need is for maternity leave. MA maternity leave is 5-6 months. --Required: NCCPA, MA license, DEA, ACLS, BLS, Minimum 1 year experience
