Description: Seeking a OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist) – Academic Faculty Opportunity --This is an outstanding opportunity for physicians who enjoy inpatient obstetrics, labor and delivery, emergency gynecology, resident education, and academic medicine while maintaining an excellent work-life balance through scheduled shift-based practice. --The position includes an academic faculty appointment providing opportunities to teach medical students and OB/GYN residents. --Provide inpatient coverage for Labor & Delivery, OB Triage, and Mother/Baby --Evaluate and manage obstetric patients requiring hospitalization --Consult for the Emergency Department and inpatient services --Evaluate and treat gynecologic emergencies including: Miscarriage, Ectopic pregnancy, Early pregnancy complications, Postoperative gynecologic complications --Manage both low-risk and high-risk labor patients --Perform: Vaginal deliveries, Operative vaginal deliveries, Primary and repeat Cesarean deliveries, Emergency obstetric procedures --Work predictable 12-hour or 24-hour scheduled shifts --Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students --Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and physician satisfaction --Enjoy a shift-based schedule with full-time benefits and no outpatient clinic responsibilities --Approximately 1,100 annual deliveries --Recently renovated Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units --Newly renovated Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) --Collaborative team of experienced OB/GYN faculty, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, labor and delivery nurses, anesthesiologists, and maternal care specialists --Comprehensive Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) services with consultation for high-risk pregnancies --Full Gynecologic Oncology service supporting complex gynecologic surgery and obstetric emergencies --24/7 in-house Obstetric Anesthesia coverage --Registered dietitian support for diabetes and nutrition management --Advanced prenatal, obstetric, postpartum, and gynecologic care --Established OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist) program supporting Labor & Delivery --Robust ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program with 16 residents --Competitive Guaranteed Base Salary: $285,000–$325,000 --Compensation is based on experience and includes additional quality and performance incentive opportunities. --Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance --403(b) retirement plan & 457(b) deferred compensation plan --Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) --CME allowance --Life insurance --Paid Time Off --Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer
