Description: Seeking a Hospitalist/Internal Medicine Director - Provide physician oversight of Advanced Practice Clinicians - Ensure the ethical practice of hospitalist medicine, that departmental performance meets or exceeds standards, and that policies are known, understood, and implemented - Directly supervises and has responsibility for hospitalist physicians/providers in clinical and assigned administrative duties to include scheduling - Recruit hospitalist physicians/providers and design Orientation - Demonstrated ability to speak effectively on administrative and clinical matters related to hospital medicine - Hospitalist Department liaison to executive committee, assures hospitalist department representation on all appropriate committees - Offer counseling, advice, information, and general support to the physicians/providers and other department members, and hold regular documented meetings (at least monthly) with providers - Develop annual budget and monitors the revenue cycle, long-range planning for facility design - Shift-based compensation structures with additional performance bonuses, grous sign-on / relocation bonus - Annual $5,000 CME + $1,000 license/dues - 5-7% retirement match + 457b program - Paid malpractice + tail - Career physician with proven clinical and administrative skills. - Board certified in Internal Medicine

Community/Facility info: This health system has two campuses with 344 licensed acute care beds, a 124 bed nursing home and 12 bed residential Hospice. We serve an area of 15 counties with approximately 225,000 people.
