Hospital is the regional center for comprehensive and state-of-the-art pediatric trauma, surgical and medical care, including neonatal, perinatal and obstetrical services. As one of only 43 freestanding children’s hospitals in the nation, the entire facility was built with children and families in mind. --The School of Medicine is a brand new downtown medical school with a multidisciplinary clinical environment that will provide better access to higher-quality care, including innovations in preventative medicine, and will support critical research programs.
