Description: Facility is seeking a BC/BE Physiatrist Medical Director to join a well-established PM&R team
- Primarily inpatient role with occasional outpatient services; flexibility based on candidate interests
- Average census 12 patients; 2–3 daily admissions and discharges Monday–Friday
- Common diagnoses: stroke, TBI, SCI, orthopedic injuries, LE amputation, cardiac/pulmonary DEB, Guillain-Barré, and complex medical conditions
- Rare weekend call limited to potential admissions when covering; medical coverage Monday–Sunday by dedicated NP hospitalists alternating every 7 days
- Robust multidisciplinary staffing: rehab APP for consults, 16 therapists, 24/7 nursing (including critical care RN); interdisciplinary team conferences 3 times per week
- Outpatient PM&R available if desired: strong referral base with 460+ system providers; flexible clinic hours with dedicated outpatient staff
- Clinical interests supported including TBI, stroke, spasticity management, amputee care, Botox (spasticity, dystonia, migraines), baclofen intrathecal pump, joint injections, EMGs, MSK, and more
- Onsite physical, occupational, and speech therapy including therapy garden, home training, and recreational outings
- EMG program: 3 machines; approximately 24 outpatient EMGs per week; dedicated neuro techs for setup and documentation; providers perform their own nerve conduction studies
