Description: Cardiology practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team - Oversee all cardiac-related testing including cardiac echo, exercise stress tests, and nuclear medicine cardiac stress - Responsibilities include pre-test physical examination, confirmation of test endpoints, informed consent per institutional policy, and clinical interpretation and reporting of stress results to cardiology for final interpretation - Develop, supervise, and operationalize quality and safety protocols for the stress testing environment - Required competencies include knowledge of stress test indications and contraindications, exercise and pharmacologic protocols, cardiovascular and exercise physiology, ECG interpretation, arrhythmia recognition and management, hemodynamic response to exercise, and prompt recognition and management of complications - Knowledge of cardiovascular drugs and their effects on exercise performance, hemodynamics, and ECG required - CPR and ACLS certification required and must be maintained
