Description: Northern New York State Hospital is seeking Locum BC Pediatric Hospitalist to provide coverage starting 1/4/2027 - Contract Length: 3 months and ongoing - 5-7 shifts/mo - 24-hour call shifts - Coverage includes: Newborn Nursery, High-risk deliveries, ER consults, Pediatric inpatient unit - Multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts may be available, based on coverage needs - Provider may remain out of the hospital when there are no acute hospital issues - Must be able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes at all times while on call - Weekday and weekend coverage required - Acuity level of patients: level 1 nursery but with high risk deliveries, need to be able to resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending transport to NICU (2.5hr drive in good conditions) - Number of beds: variable, typically 4-10 newborns, 0-3 inpatient pediatrics - EPIC experience required - 4 hours gratis if called in for patient care - Required: NY license, NRP, PALS, BLS
