Description: Minneapollis, MN area Hospital is seeking a Locum BC OB/GYN for an OB Hospitalist to provide float pool coverage starting ASAP - Ongoing need - 24-hour in-house call (7am–7am); 12-hour shifts also available - For now, it will be OB only (mostly high risk) no GYN, if the physician decides to cover OBH shift 11–12 deliveries per day - Level II nursery - Patient population is predominantly high-risk; more than 90% of the Maternal Placental Program census requires MFM involvement or management - OB Hospitalists co-manage patients with MFM specialists and provide obstetric coverage including labor and delivery; assist other OB providers with C-sections and obstetrical procedures - MFM available in-house during the day; MFM on call at night; 24/7 MFM access - ICU deliveries typically managed by OB Hospitalists with MFM and ICU support; CVICU deliveries generally performed by MFM physicians, also covers unassigned OB patients - CNM coverage available for emergent support - No residents to supervise - Generalists with interest in high-risk OB and comfort with MFM full support considered - Trauma I or II experience required - EMR: Epic; Obix for electronic fetal monitoring - Required: MN license or IMLC, BLS
