Description: Seeking a Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider Shift: Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM --The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner operates as established medical authorities through collaborative care agreement with physicians and surgeons. --Prepares and records patient’s history, performs physical examinations and formulates treatment plans for patients. --Participates in management of patient’s care, both in- and out-patient, by facilitating, expediting and coordination of routine diagnostic procedures, writing orders for appropriate medical care and determining need for consultation. --Takes call with physician. --Assists surgeon in the operating room. --Assists the entire team with additional duties throughout the office as necessary. --Triages patient calls and calls patients back in conjunction with physician. --Contacts all patients postoperatively as required for follow-up. --Competitive Pay: Hourly and salaried positions earn market-based compensation. --Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for part-time and above employees and their eligible dependents beginning within 30 days of hire. --Retirement Savings: Employer-sponsored retirement plan with company contribution and match. --Paid Time Off: Generous ETO for part-time and above employees. --Professional Development: Continue to enhance your education through our tuition reimbursement and tuition repayment program --Additional Benefits: Life insurance, disability coverage, and employee assistance programs. --Required: - 1 year in primary care, emergency room, surgery or occupational medicine settings - Graduation from an accredited Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the American Medical Association - Board Certification - BLS: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start - Advance Care Nurse Practitioner Certification - Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges - Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs - Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
