Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (cases start at 7:30 a.m.), hours may extend past 3:30 p.m. with Surgery add-on cases.
Staffing includes: 8 Anesthesiologists and 20 CRNAs
Rotating weekday call every other week
Weekend call is 1:10
All call post day off
2-year contract also includes:
Vacation: 272 hours PTO
Post call day off with pay in addition to PTO days
CME/Books & Journals: 5 days PTO and up to $5000
Deferred compensation: 457b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $23,500 year before taxes. No matching.
Retirement / Savings Plan: 403b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $23,500 year before taxes under age 50 and $31,000 for over age 50. Match dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay.
Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company
Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $2,000,000, per claim/$6,000,000, aggregate
Health Insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck
Bonus Incentives: excellent bonus incentives up to 10% of salary
Student Loan Reimbursement: repay up to $80,000 ($10,000 per year for each year of service commitment)
Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2 years)
Overtime Pay: (time and a half) for any hours worked over 40 hours in a week.
Evening Differential: Monday – Thursday after 4:00 p.m.
Weekend Differential: Friday after 4:00 p.m. – Monday prior to 7:00 a.m.
On-Call Premium Pay
CRNA School Stipend: up to $168,000 (requires up to 5 year service commitment)
Community/Facility info: 222 not-for-profit hospital. 2200 employees, 140 active medical staff. 14,000+ surgical procedures/year. Number of Operating Suites: 2 Open Heart; 1 Hybrid (for peripheral vascular and open cardiac cases); 5 General Surgery Rooms; 4 Orthopedic Rooms; 5 Endo Suites with 1 ERCP Room; and 1 Cysto Suite located in the Endoscopy area (19 total rooms).
Recent New Construction: $100 million in new construction, expansion and refurbishment:
Patient care addition; nursing units and 100 private beds – opened July 2009

New Surgery and Emergency Department

Additional parking for physicians
Maternity Department: 11 Private LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Post), 1,600 deliveries per year, 5 room triage area, 3 rooms for surgery patients, surgical room, holding nursery, and a 6 bed special care nursery.
Critical Care Department: 16 ICU rooms (15 private), Circular floor set-up, Break away doors, sleeping rooms for on-call staff and medical students, and large waiting room with restrooms and vending machines.
Emergency Department: 23 beds (21 private) and 4 chairs, special pediatric room, drive-up lane, using computerized radiography (filmless), 2 x-ray rooms and a STAT lab – expanding to 47 beds.
- Osteopathic Emergency Medicine Residency Program began July 2008
