Description: Seeking an additional BC/BE OB/GYN physician to join an established, hospital employed group with 2 other physicians
The opening will be a replacement for a retiring physician
Call will be shared amongst the group and cover all aspects of obstetrics and gynecological care

Community/Facility info: Medical Center is a 107-bed (all private), Joint Commission-accredited facility. The hospital is the sole provider of acute care in the County and draws patients from eight (the section of land between the Tennessee and Mississippi River that President Andrew Jackson purchased from the Chickasaw Indians in the early 1800s). The Medical Center features a Level 4 trauma ER that sees 21,000 patients annually and an eight-bed CCU/ICU unit. Approximately 480 babies are born each year in the hospital’s eight-bed labor/delivery center, which features a nursery and all-private suites. More than 71% of the 85-member medical staff is Board Certified. Built in 1993, the hospital features a modern design that is more functional than older hospitals and more easily accommodates new medical technologies. Also, the design boasts a more efficient patient traffic flow and better coordination of services. Community features numerous golf courses, biking, hiking and horseback riding trails. 300 miles of shoreline, 170,000 acres of forest and 200 miles of trails for biking, hiking, wildlife viewing and camping. There are 26 lake access areas with boat ramps, five courtesy docks, four fishing piers and six beaches. Campers can choose from 1,535 campsites in four developed campgrounds and virtually unlimited backcountry camping. Paradise for any nature lover, featuring more than 1,300 plant species, more than 230 bird species and 53 mammal species.
